A controversial change for sure, but the votes are in. Volleyball will no longer be recognized as “Volleyball”, but as “BallyBall” instead. The original etymology of the word sources from a combination of the two words “volley” and “ball”. “Volley” refers to the flight of the ball or its course before striking the ground (Merriam-webster, 2021). Ball refers to a round or roundish body or mass that the players hit around and whatnot (Merriam-webster, 2021). The new etymology of the word sources from the two words “bally” and “ball’. “Bally” is an adjective that refers to the balliness state of the object that the players hit around and whatnot, which is referred to as the “ball”. This ball refers to a round or roundish body or mass that the players hit around and whatnot (Merriam-webster, 2021). The second word, “ball”, refers to a round or roundish body or mass that the players hit around and whatnot (Merriam-webster, 2021). This change was enacted after persistent legislation persuaded the board of directors on the Confederation of World Sports to enact the change. The Sport Confederation Worldwide organization was kind enough to provide a statement on the matter. “After persistent legislation that persuaded us to enact these changes, we have successfully enacted these changes after persistent legislation. Thank you.” The World Confederation for Sports added on to this statement after a short break. “To reiterate: these changes were persistently enacted after successful legislation… wait… no. Sorry. These changes were successfully enacted after persistent legislation. Thank you.” A large amount of speculation resulted from the reasoning behind these changes that were successfully enacted after persistent legislation. Many propose that the Confederation of Sports, Worldly were bribed in order to successfully enact these changes after persistent legislation. Others believe that the changes that were successfully passed after persistent legislation were in fact not passed as a result of bribery, but rather the changes that were successfully passed after persistent legislation were passed as a result of competent delegation from the board members for the Confederation of Worldwide Sports. Many concerns of the public have arised, the primary concern being that the entire industry will struggle with the transition of using the word “Volleyball” to using the word “BallyBall”. The primary change will consist of habitual changes which result from having to correct yourself every time you mistakenly say the word “Volleyball” when you truthfully meant to say the word “BallyBall”. Some may even find that they mistakenly correct themselves when they first say the word “BallyBall” when they think they mean to say the word “Volleyball”, when in reality they were correct in saying the word “BallyBall” and not saying the word “Volleyball” to begin with. There will be monetary changes as well which consist of having to alter merchandise featuring the original wording of “Volleyball” to the new, correct wording of “BallyBall”. This includes shirts, sweatshirts, jerseys, hats, and equipment duffel bags that contain the original wording of “Volleyball” and must be either altered or replaced to contain the new wording of “BallyBall”. This spells a new era for the World Sporting Confederation of Sports Worldwide Confederation for Sporting, and it’s safe to say we’re all excited.
